Dr Alice Maynard is founder and Director of Future Inclusion Ltd.
Alice has a BA (Hons) from York University, an MBA from Ashridge and an Executive Doctorate (DBA) from Cranfield University. Alice's career spans 30 years, of which more than ten years has been as a consultant, working across private, public and third sectors.
Buiding on her experience in the IT industry where she worked in a range of functional and project management roles, developing and managing high performance teams and delivering complex international projects, she went on to establish two successful businesses of her own (Equal Ability and Future Inclusion).
She is an experienced non-executive director in the third sector having worked since the early ‘90s as a Trustee of several Charities and a member of two Housing Association Committees. She has been Board Chair for a number of Charities, seeing through many changes to improve governance. To achieve this, she built on her entrepreneurial experience and management training, using her understanding of how business works and what makes businesses thrive to drive improvements.
Alice is Chair of Scope (www.scope.org.uk), a £100m turnover charity providing services to disabled people with high support needs and campaigning for disabled people’s equality. She is a member of the Human Genetics Commission (www.hgc.gov.uk), an Associate of the Employers’ Forum on Disability (www.employers-forum.co.uk), past-Chair of Milton Keynes Racial Equality Council (www.mkrec.org.uk) and a graduate of Common Purpose (www.commonpurpose.org.uk).
