The Greater London Authority (GLA) was established by the GLA Act 1999. It is the administrative body for Greater London and consists of an elected executive Mayor and an elected Assembly with scrutiny powers.
The GLA was seeking to improve the lives of disabled Londoners in accessing post-16 education, employment and housing.
In partnership with Equal Ability and Ionann Management Consultants, Future Inclusion undertook a major piece of qualitative research collating the experiences of disabled Londoners through focus groups and interviews.
The resulting report provided GLA officers with clear actions and, importantly, an understanding of the environment in which improvements would be made, and the crossovers between the three issues.
