Dr Alice Maynard CBE is Future Inclusion’s founding director. She is an inclusion expert with extensive experience operating at Board level in executive, non-executive and consulting roles in a variety of organisations.
Alice helps organisations balance economic benefit and resource management whilst embedding inclusion from the top down through good governance and strategic management. Her career spans over 30 years, half of which has been as a consultant, working across private, public and third sectors. Alice has a honorary doctorate from York University (D.Univ), an Executive Doctorate (DBA) from Cranfield University and a MBA from Ashridge. In 2011 she was admitted as a Chartered Director by the Institute of Directors.
In addition, she is an experienced Non-Executive Director, currently serving on the Boards of HMRC and Transport for London. Alice has been Board Chair for a number of charities, seeing through many changes to improve governance. She was Chair of Scope (www.scope.org.uk) from 2008-2014, a £100m turnover charity driving change in society for disabled people and their families. She was also a founding Trustee/Director of the Association of Chairs, a membership organisation for Chairs of nonprofits.
